Brick City Entrepreneurship Training is a six-week, part-time bootcamp that trains multicultural entrepreneurs in foundational entrepreneurial skills to become a high-growth, technology startup founder or a main-street, small business founder.
Throughout the program, which is supported by the US Small Business Administration, GAFC Program, and in collaboration with =SPACE Newark, entrepreneurs will be given training, combined with applied case study work, to learn and refine their skills. Course details can be found here.
Entrepreneurs will have access to asynchronous learning modules with specific activities tied to each. These modules have been created specifically for the Brick City Program.
A pillar of this program is the network. There will be an opportunity to build relationships with other entrepreneurs in the cohort, and team building activities will help to facilitate these engagements.
Outside of educational sessions, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity for 1:1 or small group mentorship with the VentureLink Team.
Who is eligible?
The Brick City Entrepreneurship Training program supports individuals who are under-represented in the high-technology entrepreneurial community. This includes women, individually identifying people, veterans, and LGBTQ+ individuals. You do not need entrepreneurial experience to be qualified for this program. Individuals of all professional backgrounds are encouraged to apply, especially those with entrepreneurial aptitude, an idea, and the tenacity to build a high-growth startup.
