In collaboration with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office (BCPO), NJII’s Artificial Intelligence division is continuing to pioneer advancements in body-worn camera (BWC) technology. This initiative builds on our previous success with the Newark Police Department, aiming to enhance safety, accountability, and manage the massive influx of digital evidence that police departments are generating through AI and machine vision integration. With New Jersey’s mandate for all officers to wear BWCs, a significant investment of $58 million has been made, including $5.1 million allocated to Bergen County for over 2,500 cameras
Our partnership with the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office focuses on evaluating and improving BWC policies and capabilities.
